I'm on birth control I take it like I'm supposed to all the time. I have never had unprotected sex until this once (around April 5th cannot remeber exact day) jus happened I know it was stupid but nothing I can do now. So the day after I had the unprotected sex I got my period probably like 6-7 hours after actually. I bleed for a couple hours then nothing until 2 days later and I got what seemed to be a normal period. A week later I took a pregnancy test and it came up negative. I got what seemed to be a normal period at the beginning of this month too. (I've heard that some women still have their period and are pregnant) Now I'm not really sure what the symptoms are but after my period in April for like a week I had really sore breasts and they seemed bigger to me not sure if its my imagination or what but they do. Also I have this feeling I'm super full all the time but I get hungry too but always feel full. And today is the only day I've had a really bad headache. No sickness at allMaybe pregnant 17yrs old? Help, advice, whatever?
Kiddo.... go to the doctor and stop having sex!
Chlamydia (sp?) often gives false symptoms of pregnancy. I would say if you're on the pill you're *fairly* (NOT 100%) safe... from pregnancy.Maybe pregnant 17yrs old? Help, advice, whatever?
Get another pregnancy test
If you've gotten two seemingly normal periods since the unprotected sex then more than likely you are not pregnant. But stranger things have happened. Yes it's true that *some* women might experience periods while pregnant but it's usually not a full-force ';normal'; period and it's also rather rare.
The symptoms you are experiencing more than likely would also not be present this early in a pregnancy, even if you were pregnant. Headaches and sore breasts can be the sign of any hormonal change and can simply be a symptom of your periods.
Buy another pregnancy test or go to Planned Parenthood for a test to be sure... and then relax about it... And always use protection from now on if you're not wanting a baby.
Good luck!
It could be the BC causing some changes in your body - that is common. If you haven't taken a second test, do so just to answer that question. You need to go talk to your Doctor either way - it is possible that the cramping and other problems are something serious, like an STD or a cancer.
You're still young, so your body is still growing, it could be that your breasts are sore because they are growing, and you're hungry because you are growing.
I doubt you are pregnant, but talk to your doctor to figure out what IS going on.
wait til one month of not having a period and then go get tested.
You could go to a free clinic and be tested.
But it sounds to me like you're fine. I've heard of people's bodies changing due to mental stress. So if you're stressing over being pregnant your body could just be adjusting. However, you should wait a little while longer and if your periods are still regular and the test it still negative, don't worry. I'm sure you're fine.
First of all it sounds like you wanna get pregnant, i had a baby at your age and trust me its no fun. i hope you are not trying to get pregnant because you are stupid if you are.
sounds like the birth control doing a number on your hormones esp if your body is still trying to get adjusted to it. I don't think you are pregnant, but to be on the safe side get another test. Good luck!!!
Hi I would definately be seeing a doctor. Im not saying that you are pregnant as this may not be the case. Worrying over things like a pregnancy can interfere with your menstrual cycle by delaying it or making it irregular. Being on birth control and taking it properly is a good contraceptive but like all contraceptives nothing is 100% effective. I would say to see a doctor though, even if you are not pregnant as it may be something else making your period out of whack. I'd say it is because you are stressing over it though, stress can make our body do weird things. I had a baby at 17, and I wouldnt change things for the world. Always know that there will always be people to help you and support you through a pregnancy and the birth.I think you are worrying though which is causing the irregularities. Good Luck :)
well u should go to a clinic so they can do the blood test just to make sure if you are or not, but when i got pregnant my symptons were sore breast... wow big time.... i oculdnt even move, but if you gor ut preiod wellmaybe ur sore because of that.... andu get cramps also
I highly doubt that you are pregnant if you got your period twice already and are on the pill. Its probably the stress thats giving you the symptoms, or sometimes even when you miss a dose of the pill it throws your body out of whack. If you want to know 100 percent go get a blood test. Your parents dont have to know becuase of the doctor patient confidentiality. STOP HAVING UNPROTECTED SEX YOU CAN GET AIDS AND DIE!!
If you are on birth control, your pregnancy test was negative, and you are getting your period, you are not pregnant. You may be so stressed out that you are convincing yourself that you have symptoms that don't exist.
Yes you could be pregnant, there's always that small chance. It just takes that one time. Bleeding right after the egg emplanting is normal for some people. Light cramping was normal for me. You should take another test. If you are, you need to stop the pill and call your doc to let them know. If you are having a neg test and still having problems, cramping, bleeding off and on, you need to go in for a check up. STD's, Aids,,,,,Hepatitis,,,,,,all BAD things you don't want. STD's could mimic signs of pregnancy. You shouldn't be having sex, if you aren't prepared for consequences of possibly raising a child. You are still young and have much to do,,,,go to college....good job...so forth. Value yourself and what you are worth, not just by what you got between your legs.
Good luck to you.
I think your mind is playing tricks on you. You made a mistake by having unprotected sex, causing you to be freaked out about the possibility of being pregnant.
But just to be safe, take another pregnancy test. And I suggest you at least wait until you've finished high school to have sex (if you wait until age 20, you reduce your chances of cervical cancer), because birth control doesn't always work. Do you really want to deal with a baby at your age?
oh no
If you've had what feel like normal pregnancies, the little changes you've noticed might just be your body regulating. Being 17, you're still young enough that changes in your cycle are considered pretty normal. Sometimes my breasts are visibly larger either the week before or after my period, it's just part of the process.
If you think there's something going on, get a doctor's appointment. If you can, keep a log of your periods and what you think is different each month, it will help the doctor figure out if anything's wrong. Keep in mind that your cycle is affected by everything from the weather to stress, so if you think something's wrong, that could cause enough stress to alter your cycle. So don't worry yet, until you know you have something to worry about. Best of luck to you, whatever the outcome.
If you suspect the test are wrong, the only way to be totally positive about a pregnancy is to get a blood test. Is there a free clinic you can go to? Either way you should consult a nurse or doctor because if you are not pregnant these symptoms could be a sign of some other ailment.
if you are on the pill, and you take the pill everyday at the hour you have chosen, there is a very very very small chance of you actually getting pregnant. so small it`s not even taken into consideration.
so i advice you to calm down, if your period is coming and the test came up negative you are not pregnant.
best way to be 100% sure is to go to a gynecologist and he`ll make the pregnancy test, which is more accurate than the ones we buy in stores, and also answer your questions better than any of us (unless there is an gynecologist answering in yahoo).
i think your just going through a change in your cycle. Its normal to start having PMS symptoms around this age...you'll get pregnancy like symptoms like nausea, sensitive to smells, fatigue and bloating along with cramps. These symptoms as pregnancy usually start around after your late. Not before you start. I think your ok. Just keep track of your symptoms and your cycle so you know when its about to start.
Could just be you need to change pills.
If you think you might be pregnant, go get a blood test at the doctor, and if it comes up negitive, which it probably will, explain the symptoms to your doctor.
I had some break through bleeding, one almost absent period, and I was crampy, bloated and really moody the week before my period on my last formulation. I took a pregnancy test once to make sure, but it was negitive and I had a normal cycle for a couple months and then experienced the same problem.
There are tons of formulations and sometimes they just need to be swapped out.
I have been on 4 different formulations myself. Your hormones are constantly changing, especially at your age.
If you haven't been on the pill very long, it's possible that what you're seeing is just side effects of being on the pill. My hormones got pretty wonky when I took those.
