okay, so i am currently applying to colleges, and i have a few turned in already. they are Valparaiso, Butler, and Baylor university.
I applied early action to all of those schools.
Now i am going to apply to three more schools via reg. decision, and they are University of Minnesota, and UW-Madison, and wake forest.
I am applying to UW and WFU as 'reach' schools. they are my utmost favorite colleges in the country.
I was wondering is this a good thing? to apply to a few schools early and then the rest reg. decision?College help someone give me advice on this?
Looks like you've been applying to some great schools! It is always good to apply early, you reap the benefits for being an early applicant, plus you have a very LARGE chance of getting accepted.
But, it is also completely fine if you apply regular decision, as long as you make them in before the deadline. You still have a really good chance because a lot people actually send theirs in late.
When I applied to the school I go to now, it was actually towards closer to the deadline of the regular decision applicants because I didn't realize I really wanted to go there until I visited at last minute. I got accepted and now go there (a Big Ten school).
You are doing everything organized and ahead of time which is great.
good luck!College help someone give me advice on this?
Yes and no.
It's really nice to just have ALL your applications done way ahead of time and apply all early action.
But it's also nice when applying to ';reach'; schools to have a few schools that you already know you're in. Chances are you'll know far ahead of time if you got into your early action schools so getting back your reach school results wont be as nerve racking.
Just apply to as many as you like. Its like fishing with a bunch of poles at once. Just reel it in when one bites and if you dont like it you can just throw it back.
