I need advice and facts on the legal age you can move out of your house. Help?

My boyfriend had to spend 3 weeks at his grandmas because his dad jumped him and beat the crap out of him. His dad and his step mom recently sent him to military school. He will get out of there June 13. He is 16, but turns 17 on May 4. So when he graduates from there he will be 17. Can he move to his grandmas house permanently because he cannot deal with his parents. Is that legal in Louisiana?I need advice and facts on the legal age you can move out of your house. Help?
He should stay with his grandmother until he's old enough to take care of himself. That includes being able to plan for, and carry out that plan, in regards to his future. If you truly love and care for his wellbeing, you wouldn't so much as suggest he do anything else. He's obviously not going to be able to count on his parents for help. Make sure YOU encourage him to become educated and independent... even if it means having to put your own relationship with him on the back burner.I need advice and facts on the legal age you can move out of your house. Never a good idea to go on a' hear-say';. Check with the child and family services in Louisiana or with a lawyer that specializes in domestic/family practice in that state.
The legal age is 18. I don't know the law in Lousiana, but he can report his father, he can call anonymous to social services.
hello my name is jonathan i am a police officer in louisiana and legally he can move out at 17 because in the state of louisiana you are legally considered a adult
I think in most states the legal age to move out is 18.
