i'm thinking eat less, but keep your metabolism moving most of the time. go to the gym and have a personal trainer help you out.ATTENTION: all experts on weight loss...............im try to lose weight.... any advice PLEASE HELP?
Well it is hard to say how fast you will lose the weight or even how much you will lose. Instead of focusing on the pounds you lose focus on the fat that you lose visibly. For example, focus on your stomach and how it is getting smaller. Since muscle weighs more than fat it is hard to determine if the weight you lose is fat or water or what.
I would recommend drinking more tahn 8 cups of water because when you exercise you will actually lose a lot of water and need to replenish it. So maybe drink 8 cups plus whatever you feel makes you rehydrated after exercise...everyone is different.
If you aren't used to running, I would try to run as far as you can. If that is a mile then walk the remaining two. If 3 miles is your goal I would run as long as possible and then walk and when you feel you can run more then run more. I have heard that 1 mile equals 100 calories whether you walk or run it. Also walking very fast is better than running is another thing i have heard.
By far the best thing you can do to lose weight is to watch what you eat. Cut out all soda whether diet or regular and cut sweets, chips, etc. It is ok to eat like a dessert every once in a while. It isn't good to go cold turkey because sometimes that makes a diet fail. Just try to determine when you are really hungery and when you just want to eat. Only eat when you are hungury. Also don't skip breakfast!!! It is important. it gets your metabolism going in the morning and by skipping it you will not burn off your lunch as quickly.
Also if you have someone to be an accountability partner that helps too. Good luck.
Also don't be too hard on yourself. from your height and weight you don't sound like you need to lose too much. I weight slightly less than you and a few inches shorter and I feel I am fine as long as I don't gain any. Just try to see yourself as beautiful because i am sure many people see you as such.
Eat a less meal diet. Eat very little sugar as possible. Eat so u wont get hungry. But don't over eat. Exercise once a day for 30 min. You will lose weight using this strategy it worked for me.
I don't read or write long answers. Don't eat anything that is now, or has ever been, white. Allow your self one treat per week. Maybe 2 cookies, not a box of cookies, or a small order of fries ... you get the idea.
sounds like your about my body size, im 5'5 and 150 im not exactly fat..just not happy with additional fat that i have mainly on stomach also..i want to be flat..but i have been trying to loose pounds for about a month now. I have been doing kickboxing, pilates, yoga, and jogging/walking (jog half mile, walk half mile, jog half mile, walk half mile.) and i have also improve my eating habits but did not cut calories. I am dropped a pants size though....so its not soo much about losing weight because gaining muscle can do wonders too. but your plan sounds good, not sure how fast you'll loose weight, but the more excersize you do the better you'll look the sooner.
i feel for you. i tried losing weight for years. i lost 55 lbs. playing volleyball. it works out all of your body and its fun so it doesn't bore you and it doesn't feel like exercise.
Hi sister! well, if you'll ask me the best thing to do is to see your doctor to seek information regarding what diet program to take.
But in my case, few years ago i was not that fat but still not contented with my body because throughout my younger years im fat. hehehe. but hey im 22years old now, fit and healthy. do you know the secret? DISCIPLINE. i know its hard but if you'll work hard for it, you'll be satisfied with the results. first, you need to control what you eat. In my case I eat alot during breakfast, i mean complete meal.. and during lunch time same.. but i rarely eat during dinner time..because of the fact that after taking dinner you'll soon sleep and foods that you consumed is not yet burned. But if you're starting and not used to skipping meals during dinner time, you may eat but do not eat foods rich in CARBOHYDRATES..because when foods like this is taken and not burned it will turned sugar in our body.. thats why we end up gaining weight. hey you can eat fruits instead. Of course diet alone is not enough to have a healthy and sound body. Find time atleast thrice a week you exercise. You can exercise in your own house. For me, it is more convenient exercising inside my house rather than going outdoors. Well, you need to buy cd's that gives a program that you can follow...such as situps etc.. Try belly dancing! It can help you lose weight. Well, try also atleast reading some articles and tips on how to use properly dumbells in order to have tighter arms. to give you some idea..Well, i hope that i answered your questions. God Bless.
We can't estimate exactly how much weight you will lose but I recommend you to eat fiber. Not only is it healthy but it also fills you up. It's a great aid for people who are trying to lose weight. Make it a part of your diet. I also suggest you to avoid processed meats such as hotdogs, sausages or burgers. Avoid fatty foods like fried chicken, bacon, croissants and stuff like that. Eat lean meats instead and don't forget to eat alot of vegetables. And for your carbs, oatmeal is great. Just remember that you must not eat carbs during nighttime because it will all be turned into fats.
When it comes to the exercise department, do not do 3 sets of 10! That is a bodybuilder's routine. You will only get bulky in that type of exercise. If i were you, I would just buy a pilates DVD to tone my muscles a bit.
To burn fat, you have to sweat. Jogging is always the best.
your work out sounds actually really good. Just eat healthy and exercise as much as u can. Good luck!!!!
your plan is great. ecxept not only excercise is gonna help you lose weight. you also have to eat less (don't go for seconds, and don't fill your plate up on your first). Also stop eating sweets. That helps alot!! Trust me!! Hope it works. Good Luck.
First off. I am glad you are interested in fitting up and getting in good shape. However, I do not think you should worry about numbers so much. You will definitely lose weight fairly soon. The workout seems fine. I would probably start off walking more than running (it will loosen up your muscles better). Calorie thing is definitely not good. You are going to need to be eating more calories in order to work out as much as you are wanting to. Eat foods with calories but be cautious about the types of food you are eating. For the abs. Try three sessions of the 6 minutes throughout the day. Drinking water is great; however, do NOT drink more than that. Water toxicity can occur and flush out a lot of the ';good'; nutrients in your body. But other than that, you have a pretty good plan with a very positive attitude. Good luck!
What you are doing is pretty good and should work
Usually it's healthy to lose weight at a rate of 1 to 1 1/2 lbs per week, I know that seems like it would take a long time to lose the weight, but scientifically speaking that's best.
Doing about 30 minutes of cardio also helps
Weightlifting works as well because it builds muscle, and the more muscle one has the more calories are burned.
Since you are female try to do more reps with lighter weight, this will define your muscles and not make them that bulky.
When you eat, eat several meals in the day, 4 - 5 preferrably, but keep them at small portions.......in other words, smaller but more frequent meals........Keep drinking 8 cups of water daily as well because water is a huge necessity for the body.
Try to stay away from foods that are very heavy in fat and eat lean foods.........also the way you prepare the food can help, for example, grilled chicken instead of fried chicken.
Finally, give yourself one day a week that you reward yourself where you cheat and eat something that you wouldn't eat in the rest of the week.
Okay, from what it sounds like your pretty healthy and are not really in need of losing weight as much as getting fit. One thing to remember is muscle weighs more than fat, so as you work out you will gain muscle and tone, and lose the fat but not nessiarily the wieght. So my advice to you is toss out your weight scale and head to the craft part of your store and get a cloth tape measure.
In advice to your exercise plans:
walk 2 miles and run 1 mile everyday or should i run two and walk one?????
You should Stretch if you don't, stretching will help with more than just stopping cramps. Then walk 1/2 mile leading into a jog/run and then slow down to a walk again for the last 1/2 mile. A good rule of thumb to not over do yourself is to chant or sing while you jog. (thats 1 reason why they do it in the army). If you can't chant without pauses because you are short of breath you are pushing to hard and need to slow down until you work up your tolerence.
do arm exercises with dumbbells, 3 different exercises 3 sets of 10 reps for each
Unless you are gong for some real arm bulk, you should do less weight and more reps. Since your female we tend to look better with lean muscle instead of the pop-eye look. Increase your weight, if you cannot do 5 reps without getting sore or not lifting correctly then you need to use less wieght. Do about 15-30 reps, but remember to work yourself up gradually.
about 6 minutes of ab exercises on my ab machine ( the ab lounge).
This is my personal opinion but exercise machines that claim only minutes a day will give you results I feel are fake. So I suggest to going back to the old fasioned crunches. Do about 30 normal, then 15 on each side.
and only eat about 1,200-1,500 calories a day
I suggest you eat a normal 2000 calorie, just don't fill your calories with cookies and candy. Salads, and protein are good.
and drink 8 cups of cold water
Water is always good! YAY for water.
Here are some links you should look into, the 1st one is how to take your measurments. Your looking to firm up and slim down so see if your loseing inches not weight.
