i have a R reg 1.8 16v and i noticed some blowing from the exhaust, apparently it's coming from the cat and quick fit quoted me 239 to replace the whole of the front section of the exhaust because they say i have to replace that whole part, is there a cheaper solution? not gun gum or anything like that though. Also the car has started to cut out quiet a lot, is that due to the blowing exhaust? thanksExhaust problem on vauxhall vectra, advice neede please help?
yes its due to the cat problem its not within its engine emmisions limits its going to be expensive anyway try a breakers yard for a second hand cat and try to arrange a refund (prior) if it don t work of or try e-bay or online breaker companies there are plenty about .
